Light Sport Aircraft
Designed specifically for sport pilot training. Modern glass cockpit, low operating costs, and no FAA medical required, just a valid driver's license.
About This Aircraft
The Cessna 162 Skycatcher was designed from the ground up as a Sport Pilot trainer. Its light weight, docile handling, and modern Garmin avionics suite make it ideal for new pilots.
At Harford Air, the 162 is used primarily for Sport Pilot certificate training, one of the fastest paths to carrying a passenger and logging pilot-in-command time.
Fly on a valid driver's license. Sport Pilot rules allow you to skip the third-class medical entirely.
Equipped with a Garmin avionics suite, the same technology used in modern GA aircraft.
Light weight and an efficient engine mean lower fuel burns and more affordable hourly rates.
Designed with new pilots in mind, with predictable handling and wide margins for student errors.
Hourly Rates
All aircraft rates are wet, fuel included. Instructor fees are billed separately.
