Services · Pass the FAA Written Exam
Our 10-week Private Pilot ground course covers everything you need — navigation, weather, regulations, aerodynamics — to pass the FAA written knowledge test with confidence.
About the Course
Harford Air runs a Private Pilot ground school course once enough students are enrolled (minimum 6). Classes meet once per week and cover all the knowledge areas tested on the FAA Private Pilot Airman Knowledge exam.
The course is taught by one of our experienced instructors and is designed to be practical — not just exam prep. You'll come away understanding weather, airspace, navigation, and how to make smart decisions as a pilot-in-command.
Upon completion, you'll receive a logbook endorsement allowing you to sit the FAA written knowledge test. Classes may be conducted remotely via Zoom when weather or other conditions prevent in-person meetings.
Call or stop by before Class 1 to pay for the course and pick up your required materials. See the materials list below.
Each class builds on the last. Covers navigation, weather, instruments, airspace, aerodynamics, regulations, and more.
After completing the course, your instructor will endorse your logbook, authorizing you to sit the FAA knowledge test.
The 60-question test covers everything you studied. Most students who complete ground school pass on their first attempt.
