Kevin Hess is the owner and operator of Harford Air. He received his pilot license at KCI Aviation, his degree in Aviation at Salem College and his A&P, Aircraft & Power Plant Certification at Rice Aviation. He has over 25 years experience in general aviation. He was the 2001 "Flight Instructor of the Year" for Maryland presented by the Maryland DOT & FAA.
Allan Kash is an experienced commercial pilot and a senior flight and ground instructor. He has more than 24 years of aviation experience-providing more than 4,000 hours of flight training at this location. Allan received his training throughout the country and earned three formal degrees in aviation, while graduating with honors. He majored in 1) Air Traffic Control (ATC) and National Airspace System (NAS), 2) Professional Pilot, and 3) Aviation Sciences from the University of Maryland. His specialized education include: Advanced Aerodynamics, Airport Management, Air Transportation Management, Aviation Law and the Regulatory Sysem, Certification within the NAS, our NAS & related procedures, and Human & Aero-medical Factors. Allan specializes in instrument flight instruction and is also available full time for primary, commercial, and flight-instructor flight and ground training.
James Schlegel is a full-time flight instructor. He received his primary flight training at Harford Air Services, then he attended ATP flight school. He accumulated over 120 hours multi-engine time and his Certified Flight Instructor, Certified Flight Instrument Instructor, Multi-Engine Instructor licenses. Being full time, has a very flexible schedule and is ready to fly 7 days a week. He makes all his flights a safe and fun learning experience.
Duane Wallace is a part-time instructor specializing in tail-wheel instruction. He is also an elementary school principal so he is great with the fundamentals of teaching.
